JCast-X is a media streaming server sollution build on top of an extremly flexible component architecture. The architecture is based on the "producer-bus-consumer" pattern in a way to allow developers to extend it easyly.
It provides implementations based on the provided framework that are similiar to media streaming technologies like ShoutCastTM or IceCastTM.
But once grown up JCast-X will be able to do much more than send MP3 streams, in theory any kind of media can be efficiently streamed.

- New Release 0.1.4 published on SourceForge
- Updated API-Javadoc to match new release.

- Unittests are getting more and more aprox. 45% are done. - Re-structered Homepage, added Coding-Guidelines.

- Redesign of Homepage. Thx to phobos-lab.com for creating this awesome logo.
- Fixed a little bug that was causing the PlaylistSourceThread to puke, sometimes. (CVS)

- Created new release v.0.1.2. This release allows creating of Channels/Source/Server from an xml file. Distribution comes with an example how to start JCast-X streaming a local Playlist file.
- More work went into fine tuning thread locks and stability.

- Lots of code cleanup. Thx to Thomas Nilson of XMMS, UDP Message pop-up's working too now.
